To introduce people to the new flexible facility, a Halloween “Spooktacular” was held with fire-eaters, stilt-walkers, magicians, balloon artists and face-painters entertaining junior and adult visitors alike. Also attending were representatives from nearby HM Naval Base Clyde, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) as well as those involved in the project to upgrade the Centre.

Following the success of last year’s Books for Schools campaign, The Scottish Sun newspaper and publisher, HarperCollins, have joined forces again to give away thousands of reading packs, each containing 40 books, to Scottish nurseries.
Some of the 12 leaders sentenced had held prominent positions in Catalonia’s government and parliament, while others were influential activists and cultural advocates.
During four months of hearings, they told the court in Madrid that they were victims of an injustice in a trial built on “false” charges.
