One furious angler told The Democrat: “For the past 60 years at least, the River Leven east bank fishing has been accessed by anglers using the signposted public right of way from Broadmeadow.
Currently around 6,800 people work at the site with numbers expected to rise to approximately 8,200 over the next few years as the base transforms into the home of the entire UK Submarine Service and the Submarine Centre of Specialisation.
“Because, as the ongoing allegations of impropriety show, they’re unaccountable, untouchable and don’t give a toss for the people who pay their wages.”
