Police hunt after serious assault in Ardoch Crescent, Dumbarton

Police in Dumbarton are continuing inquiries and appealing for information following an assault on a 33-year-old man in Dumbarton on Saturday.
Around 11.50 pm on Saturday, 6 June, the victim was attacked in Ardoch Crescent by a group of men brandishing a variety of weapons.
The men then made off in two cars in the direction of Glencairn Road, Brucehill, Dumbarton.
The victim was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated for his injuries.
Police Area Commander Chief Inspector Scott Carlin, said: “Violence and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly.
“We have additional officers on patrol in the area and I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to them.”
“It is important that we trace those responsible and colleagues in CID are following a positive line of enquiry however I would urge anyone with any information that may assist this enquiry to contact police.”
