The parents of schoolchildren in West Dunbartonshire – and other adults living in the same house – are anxious not just about the safety of pupils and staff but of the risk of children unwittingly becoming infected and bringing that infection home with them, according to Labour councillor David McBride.
Councillor Iain McLaren, Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “I am pleased that some of the Town Centre Fund money is being used to capitalise on the town centre’s close proximity to the river and that residents will now have a pleasant gathering space to enjoy that area.
Opposition parties say it makes billionaire owners of shooting estates exempt from the tax, while landowners and shooting advocates say it unfairly taxes small landholders who don’t run shooting businesses, or even shoot at all.
The incident happened around 11pm on East Princes Street near Helensburgh Central Train Station. The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment to serious facial injuries.
How any politician of any hue came to think it was a good idea to discriminate against poor and deprived children is unbelievable. Nicola Sturgeon must have been aware of this.
