COVID 19: Scotland records 956 new cases in 24 hours

The latest Scottish Government figures have been published.

The figures represents 14.9% of newly tested individuals, the Scottish Government confirmed.

In the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board region, which includes West Dunbartonshire, 296 new cases were identified, a drop on the 357 increase recorded the day before.

There have been no reported deaths among people who have tested positive in the last day, meaning the total remains at 2550.

The number of people in hospital with recently confirmed Covid on Saturday was 449 – 35 of whom were in intensive care.
