With Covid, we understand the hesitance some people feel when faced with leaving the house. This is having a major impact on our mental health and wellbeing and on the footfall in many small, local businesses.

The benefits of getting out and about (when you’re able) are paramount to wellbeing – socialising with other people can really make the difference if you’ve been isolated for long periods of time. We want to encourage you to come out and into our shop where we are more than happy to chat away and help you find all you need.

A little bit of retail therapy can really do wonders in terms of self-care!

Cardross Parish Church

Due to the rapid spread of the omicron variant we have received updated guidance from the Church of Scotland today which means we will have to cancel the party scheduled for Monday 13th. The Messy Church Team are all so very sorry to disappoint our families but we know you will understand the reasons for this.

Bangin’ Pizza is topping awards list

Bangin’ Pizza, which opened in Glasgow Road, Dumbarton, despite being mucked around by West Dunbartonshire Council planners over decorating the shutters on their shop, has been named as one of the best in Scotland.

DJ Stephen Kirkwood fulfilled a dream by setting up Bangin’ Pizza alongside fellow DJ, Steven Galloni, earlier this year – after the pandemic forced their music business, SKapade Studios, to take a backseat.

The career change has certainly been a successful one, with the Dumbarton East business named as runner-up in the prestigious Scottish Italian Awards Best Pizza prize.

Stephen Galloni has now revealed that he has big plans moving forward – starting with a special festive pizza.

“We’re developing our Christmas pizza just now. It’s certainly quite an interesting one,” he explained.

“We love doing our specials and changing them every few weeks with different seasonal produce that comes in from Italy.

“We’re keeping the specials up in the new year, and we’re going to add a lunchtime menu with mini pizzas and fries.”
