Police are hunting for a group of low life creeps following a deliberately raised fire the Covid Test Centre in Risk Street, Dumbarton.
Detectives are appealing for information following the fire in Risk Street on Saturday, 1 January, 2022.
Police were made aware of the fire at around 12.40am, just after the New Year bells, when the fire service were in attendance at a fire in Risk Street at the Covid Test Centre. No-one was injured and the fire was extinguished.
There is no impact on the services provided at the Test Centre, according to the police.
Subsequent inquiries carried out by officers have established the fire was a deliberate act. Around 12.20am, an item was thrown at a canopy causing it to catch fire.
Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell said: “We are in the process of reviewing CCTV footage from the area and the surrounding area and I’m confident it will provide useful information on the suspect and the incident. However, I would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact us.”
