HEALTH: Get seen, treated and discharged in 4 hours or less at Vale Minor Injuries Unit

Did you know, there are three dedicated Minor Injury Units (MIU) across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde – including the Vale of Leven Hospital in Alexandria –  which could see, treat and discharge you in less than four hours?

MIUs treat a vast range of injuries and for many patients, provide a more appropriate place to receive treatment than a busy A&E.

An MIU can treat the following injuries:

If you have a minor injury, you can attend one of our dedicated MIU sites at New Stobhill Hospital, New Victoria Hospital the  Vale of Leven Hospital. Before attending, you should call NHS24 on 111 to access our team of specialist nurses who can assess you virtually and provide you with an appropriate time to attend your nearest MIU to help minimise your waiting time.
