Archbishop William Nolan has made the following appointments which were announced at church services in the respective parishes over the weekend.
Canon Gerry Conroy, parish priest of St Patrick’s, Dumbarton, is to take charge also of St Peter’s parish in Bellsmyre.
Father Douglas Green, Assistant Priest at Saint Patrick’s, Dumbarton, pictured right at his ordination last month with Archbishop Nolan, is appointed, in addition to his current role, as Assistant Priest at Saint Peter’s, Bellsmyre.
For health reasons, Canon Robert Hill, a former chaplain to students and staff at the University of Glasgow, is stepping down meantime from parish ministry and from his responsibilities as Dean. He will continue to be resident in Saint Matthew’s Presbytery.
