Some dentists in West Dunbartonshire are beginning to take appointments from patients again following the cancellation during Covid pandemic.
And NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is currently looking to recruit trainee dental nurses at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School.
Initially training for a fixed term period of 18 months within the dental nursing teams based at the Glasgow Dental Hospital, successful candidates will be supported to perform the necessary technical and physical aspects of clinical dental nursing.
You will assist clinicians in all aspects of patient care including the preparation of equipment, instruments and materials while ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
Lisa Dorrian, General Manager for Oral Health at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to get into dentistry to kick start their career.
“On the job training will be provided to each trainee where they will be able to gain a first-hand understanding of what is required to become a dental nurse.
“Successful applicants will be working alongside experienced dental professionals, providing chairside assistance during dental procedures and helping maintain a clean environment for patients.
“There will also be an element of classroom based learning and following successful completion of the training program, trainees will be able to become fully qualified dental nurses.”
