Maid of the Loch – Loch Lomond Steamship Company
His attention to detail was important in garnering as much benefit as possible from donations and Gift Aid form filling. A quiet, modest man he worked tirelessly for the Maid and we’re very grateful for all he did for the ship.
Stephen Wilson paid this tribute on social media: “Sorry to hear about Leslie (RLB), he was a very funny chap with a great trove of stories about the steamers, he served on the PSPS committee for many years and was a veteran of the Waverley winter work parties in the sub-zero Clydeside winters of the 1980s and was hugely committed to both Waverley and Maid of the Loch, lovely guy who will be much missed.”
UPDATE – For those who knew Leslie Brown, his funeral will take place on Monday 11th March at 13.30 at Clydebank Crematorium, and after at the West Park Hotel. The family has arranged a celebrant funeral, and stories about Leslie would be most welcome.
