STV JOURNALISTS WILL GO ON STRIKE AGAIN ON TUESDAY

STV strike takes place on Tuesday

On Tuesday 16^th April, our members at STV will begin a second day of strike action over pay. The NUJ is seeking a 6 per cent rise for members to keep pace with inflation after a record cost-of-living crisis last year.

The company claims it can’t afford a pay award which matches inflation, despite already paying their journalists far less than their counterparts at the BBC. Meanwhile STV’s Chief Executive is paid 40% more than the Director General of the BBC – an organisation more than 40 times as large.

Day one of the strike on 28 March at various sites across Scotland was a huge success, and we want to build on that on day two.
