A 56-year-old man has become the second person to be arrested in connection with an investigation into a former Dumbarton High Street funeral directors where ashes are alleged to have gone missing.

Glasgow-based A. Milne Funeral Directors is also being investigated by Police Scotland over allegations of financial mismanagement.

Officers previously searched residential properties in Springburn and Bishopbriggs and seized a number of “relevant” items.

The arrested man was released pending further inquiries and the force said the investigation was ongoing.
