Dumbarton poet Stephen Watt tells us he was invited by BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘Off The Ball’ to come on the show on Saturday to discuss the situation surrounding Dumbarton FC.
But he added: “I am swamped this weekend and had to decline, but proposed that Robert Ryan would make a very suitable interviewee for the show, and articulate our current plight far better than I could.
“Please do listen in and get behind Robert. Show that Sons fans care and the rest of Scottish football will care too.
“The GoFundMe page has hit its £50,000 target and been increased to £100,000 – we are supporting the team and staff now.
“There are vulnerable adults who rely on these games. There are livelihoods at stake. There are friendships which need the team to exist. Matters of the club and it’s finances will follow.
“Please do continue to donate what you can at the link below. Thank you.”
