Many people don’t see themselves as carers because their relationship comes first. But if you support someone outside of work who cannot manage alone due to illness, disability, mental health challenges, or addiction, you could be a carer.
This person might be your:

💚Sibling
💙Friend or
💜Neighbour
Recognising yourself as a carer is important as it can mean you may be entitled to specific rights, support and info that help you in your caring role, as well as the person you care for.
