Starmer’s First Year as PM: A Catholic Perspective

Sir Keir Starmer’s tone towards faith has been respectful — but his government’s policies have directly clashed with Catholic teaching, according to Sancta Familia, a Catholic group prominent on Facebook:
Buffer zones around abortion clinics now ban prayer and peaceful witness
Assisted suicide advanced with government support
Abortion decriminalised up to 24 weeks, including self-managed abortions
Catholic schools and charities remain safe — for now
Faith engagement promised, but little follow-through
Verdict: Civil in tone, but harmful in substance.
A polite government — yet legislatively hostile to life, conscience, and public faith.
Our PM and Government is party to a genocide. Our late Pope Francis of blessed memory, called Gaza every evening.
The ongoing slaughter in Gaza is also a Catholic issue, a Christian issue, a prolife issue and an affront to the Gospels.
