From today the (SNP)Scottish Government are scrapping peak rail fares across Scotland. On Saturday I was out with SNP activists speaking to passengers at stations across the Constituency, about the positive change this will bring to their pockets.
Scrapping peak rail fares forms part of the First Minister’s Cost of Living Guarantee – with Scots paying on average lower bills than people in the rest of the UK whilst also having access to a more extensive range of public services.
