Scotland’s Health Awards 2025 was an event to remember, shining a spotlight on the dedication and excellence of health and social care professionals across the country.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) and Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) colleagues received an impressive 16 nominations across 10 categories, reflecting the outstanding commitment, compassion, and innovation shown by teams every day.
Two of the top awards were won by NHSGGC and HSCP colleagues:
Robert, who was representing the team after receiving the award, said: “It means everything to us. Tonight, ten of us are here representing 2,500 staff who provide care and support every single day.
“We’re absolutely delighted to receive recognition for the day-to-day work we do.
“This award is really a thank you to our carers who go out in all weather — I’m proud to accept it on their behalf.”
This is an exceptional team that provides compassionate, person-centred support. An example of this was their support for a man living with MS, becoming like family to him and his loved ones. From daily routines to life’s milestones — including dressing him for his daughter’s wedding — they delivered care with dignity, humour, and heart. Their professionalism and warmth brought comfort and respect during his final months.
Aimie was interviewed after receiving her award, and said, “Being nominated in the first place was enough — I already felt like a winner.
“I don’t think what I do is anything special, I just go to work and do what I do.
“I’ve been blessed with the absolute best of colleagues. I couldn’t ask for anything better, and the opportunity I have to help people and make a difference on such a large scale is an honour and a privilege.”
Aimie has led transformative projects in spinal injury comfort, digital orthotics, and person-centred care. Her evidence-based innovation and collaborative leadership have delivered measurable improvements, making her a standout example of how youthful energy and dedication can drive meaningful change.
Congratulations to all nominees and winners — your work continues to make a lasting impact across communities.
