The Ibrox hero claimed bosses dismissed him in breach of contract and also failed to hand over a bonus payment.
He claimed this should have been paid and that his dismissal without the payment was wrong.
Rae, 56, was assistant at Rangers during the reign of Phillipe Clement but was shown the door when the Belgian boss was sacked last year.
He went to an employment tribunal where he also said the Glasgow giants had failed to pay his full holiday entitlement.
Employment judge Laura Doherty ordered Rangers to pay him £10,000 over the bonus payment and a further £2,461 for holidays.
The Ibrox side did not submit a response to the claims which allowed the judge to make a decision based solely on the allegations brought by Rae.
A written ruling issued by judge Doherty said: “No response has been presented to this claim and an Employment Judge has decided to
issue the following judgment on the available material under rule 22.
“No response has been presented to this claim.
“The claimant was dismissed in breach of contract in respect of the bonus payment and the respondent is ordered to pay damages to the claimant in the sum of £10,000.”
