Helensburgh residents living next to a proposed block of more than a dozen new flats fear their privacy will be violated and garden views destroyed by the “unacceptable” development.
Council officers have given the go-ahead to plans for 14 flats at the former St Joseph’s church hall site in Grant Street Helensburgh – despite seven objections being received from members of the public.
One objection letter said: “I am happy for Argyll and Bute Council to visit my home so that they can see first-hand how this proposal will dwarf both my home and [surrounding properties], and how devastating and overwhelming this will be for all residents [nearby].”
