SOPHIE INVESTIGATES local access to and the delivery of children’s palliative care

Sophie Traynor SNP for Dumbarton

Earlier this week, I joined the First Minister for a visit to Robin House in Balloch to learn more about the work Children’s Hospices Across Scotland are doing to support children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
During this visit, we met with senior staff, volunteers, and families to discuss the whole-family support approach to care, the ongoing pressures being faced, and what changes would help to strengthen local access to and the delivery of children’s palliative care.
The dedication of the staff and volunteers here is truly inspiring, and it is clear that they make an immeasurable difference in the lives of those they care for.
