Sophie Traynor SNP for Dumbarton

The SNP has set out plans to cap bus fares at just £2- making public transport more affordable for everyone, whether you’re commuting to work, going to the supermarket, or visiting family.
At a time when household costs are rising, this is about putting money back in people’s pockets while cutting emissions and supporting the Dumbarton Constituency and our local communities.
As the SNP has said, we want a country where “public transport is a public service, not a luxury.” Lower fares mean more people choosing buses, easing congestion and helping tackle the climate emergency.
With the right choices, we can build a transport system that works for all of us – accessible, affordable, and sustainable.
