by BILL HEANEY

A superyacht worth around £300million departed the Firth of Clyde today after spending more than a week at James Watt Dock in Greenock.

Destiny left Gibraltar earlier this month before arriving in Inverclyde on August 21.

The Dutch-built yacht, which features a glass-bottomed pool, a helipad and a Jacuzzi, launched in April.

She is reportedly owned by US billionaire and Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, who previously served as chairman of US President Donald Trump’s Strategic and Policy Forum.

Destiny set off for Oban this morning (Monday), leaving Greenock shortly before 9am.
