HEALTH BOARD PLEA TO USE MINOR INJURY UNITS
Nobody wants to be sitting about in a hospital emergency department for longer than they need to be – especially at Christmas – so the Health Board, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, is launching a campaign to highlight the benefits of visiting one of its Minor Injuries Units instead.
The Health Board is in the fortunate position of having dedicated, nurse-led Minor Injury Units at Stobhill, the New Victoria and Vale of Leven Hospitals, where 100% of patients are usually seen and treated within four hours.

There was a steady stream of voters going to the polling stations, which ranged from schools to churches, casting their votes in West Dunbartonshire. In Helensburgh, which is in the Argyll and Bute constituency, it was particularly busy at the Victoria Hall in Sinclair Street. There were few if any posters on lamp posts in Dumbarton but posters for all parties were in evidence from Cardross through Helensburgh to Rhu for all the parties standing there.
