The Dumbarton Democrat staff will be on holiday from today (Wednesday) until April 12. We have important matters such as website reconstruction and wedding anniversaries to deal with during the break. My first book was called How Are Things in Connemara? We feel obliged to go back there and check the place out for that peace that Yeats said comes dropping slowly. We’ll also have Easter Weekend in Dublin and a few days in Waterford, Tipperary and Galway. All the usual security measures are in place here including Neighbourhood Watch and a son who sleeps lightly. Be assured, however, that we have nothing to steal but our stories. Happy Easter to all our readers. We’ll be in touch as soon as we get back to Bonnie Scotland.
