Man’s body found in River Clyde
Justin Conroy, who had connections with Renton and Dumbarton.
Police are becoming increasingly concerned about Justin Conroy, 24 , pictured above, who has been reported missing by his family. Justin originates from the Dumbarton area but also resides in the Aberfoyle area of Stirlingshire in connection with his work.
Justin Conroy was last seen on CCTV in Buchanan Street, Glasgow, near to its junction with Sauchiehall Street at 11.14pm hours on Saturday, 22 September. His current whereabouts are unknown and his family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. Justin is 5’8″, medium build with very short dark hair. He has green eyes.
Inspector Mark Murphy said: “We are concerned about Justin’s welfare as this is totally out of character. He is always in daily contact with family members but they have not heard from him for a week. Our inquiries have indicated that he could be in the Glasgow area. We are asking for anyone with any information about Justin’s whereabouts to contact us.”
Late News: With reference to our previous appeal regarding 24 year-old Justin Conroy, who had not been seen since Sunday 23 September 2018, please note that around 10.25 am on Saturday 6 October 2018 the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde, near to the Kingston Bridge. Formal identification is yet to take place however the body is believed to be that of Justin Conroy. His family have been made aware. A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, which officers are currently treating as unexplained. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
