Remembrance Day Services

In the morning and at the going down of the sun, we will remember them ….

 

A wreath being laid at the cenotaph in Dumbarton’s Levengrove Park in memory of John Brown, who won the Victoria Cross for gallantry in the First World War.

10.45am      –     Service at the Cenotaph, Levengrove Park Dumbarton
11.00am      –      Service will be held at the War Memorial and the former Milton Primary School
11am           –      Service at Cardross War Memorial.
11.30am      –      Service at Helensburgh War Memorial in Hermitage Park
11.30am      –      Service will be held at the War Memorial in Bowling Park
12.30pm     –       Service at the Cenotaph beside Renton Primary School and Smollett monument
12.30pm     –       Service at the War Memorial on Roman Road, Duntocher
3.00pm       –        Service at the Cenotaph, Christie Park, Alexandria

Poppy - George Findlay VC MC & BarThis paving stone was laid in Helensburgh on Sunday in memory of Colonel George Findlay, who was born in Balloch, and who was awarded both the Military Cross and Bar and the Victoria Cross for gallantry and bravery in the First World War.
