Free trees for schools and communities
We want to make sure that everybody has the chance to plant a tree. So we’re giving away hundreds of thousands of trees to schools and communities.
We have two delivery periods per year, November and March, when the trees are dormant and perfect for planting.
We are currently taking applications for trees to be delivered in MARCH 2019.
Choose your pack(s) from the list below and fill out our application form. If you can’t wait until then, or your application is unsuccessful, you can buy packs in our shop all year round.
Before you start you’ll need to:
- Know the six digit grid reference for the land you wish to plant using the grid reference finder
- Have permission from the legal landowner
- Read through our short list of FAQs. They are packed full of important and useful information which will help your application.
For more help and advice Tree Tools for Schools has everything you need to plan, plant and care for your tree pack, whether you are a school or community group.
Thanks to generous funding from our lead partners.
- Players of People’s Postcode Lottery
- Yorkshire Tea
- IKEA family
Additional funding from DEFRA means we can also give away a further 100,000 trees a year until 2020 to eligible schools. Remember, the first pack you order as a school will earn you two points on the Green Tree Schools Award!
