Death of Tony Biagi, businessman

Sad news of the death of Tony Biagi, one of the best known fish and chip shop owners in West Dunbartonshire and Helensburgh.
Condolences to his wife, Mary (Jamieson) and their son, Mark, have flooded in from local people and from many exiles in different parts of the world.
Tony, whose father, Johnny, had a shop in Dumbarton High Street, was a quiet man, well liked and respected by everyone who was a customer in his shops in Dumbarton, Helensburgh and Cardross.
He worked hard all his life and enjoyed holidays from time to time in Daniel O’Donnell country in Donegal, Ireland.
Mary was a big fan of Daniel O’Donnell and she and Tony loved his concerts.
The couple’s son, Marco, who is a former pupil of Keil School, Dumbarton, was a member of the Scottish Parliament, where he represented the SNP.
Tony and Mary have two other sons, Gerald and Andrew
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him from calling in at his shops to treat themselves after a night at the Picture House or a night out in High Street.
Tony’s Funeral Arrangements: 1pm, Monday 17th December 2018 at Co-op Funeralcare, Alexandria. Thereafter the Vale of Leven Cemetery at 1:45pm.
