This is Dumbuck Hotel owner and super fund-raiser Petra McMillan who in just eight months’ time with Ryan and Andy here will be flying the flag for Scotland along with 25 other friends from all over the UK on the slopes of Mount Everest. These super-fit wizards are on target to raise over £120, 000 for Marie Curie’s amazing nursing service back home. Petra, who has been laid low with a virus since Christmas – on top of injuries sustained in a fall off her bike in during a cycling fund-raiser in Laos last autumn – raring to go. It’s onwards and upwards. What else would it be if you are preparing to climb Everest? .
