Officers acting under warrant, searched a property in McCreery Street, Clydebank, and discovered a quantity of drugs.

They seized more than 41 kilos of cocaine, a significant quantity of diazepam tablets, a kilo of heroin and just over 14 kilos of cannabis in the operation.

The estimated street value of the drugs amounts to approximately £2.3 million pounds.

A 30-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with recovery.  Both were due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Beattie said: “This substantial recovery shows our commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply in our local communities.   This seizure ensures that £2.3 million worth of drugs will not be distributed on our streets.

“Drugs cause real devastation to people’s lives and the wider community. The public can be assured that targeting drugs and tackling those involved in criminality remains a priority.”
