WALKING THE WEST HIGHLAND WAY

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, outdoorSome people can make anything look easy. But, believe me, walking the West Highland Way is anything but. However, it hasn’t wiped the smile off the face of my pal Bex Gates and her friend Debbie. They are hiking it out at the moment. Speed over the 96 mile route is working out about 12 miles a day. Blisters, bumps and bruises and sunburn even are no problem for this duo. Fit as a flea Bex is a specialist nurse in a very specialist business. She knows about all aspects of healthcare and travels the world doing her work, but she loves Scotland. The pictures were taken in Glencoe and that wee white cottage looks just like Granny’s Heilan’ Hame. Bill Heaney
