Police Scotland is appealing for information after a 24 year-old man was attacked in Clydebank on Monday 17 June 2019.
Around 9.45am on Monday morning, the 24 year-old man was attacked by three men on Beardmore Street in Clydebank and sustained cuts to his head.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and treated for his injuries then later released.
The three suspects were all wearing dark-coloured clothing and made off in a black coloured Volkswagen Polo car that headed towards the Parkhall area of Clydebank.
A short time later, a black Volkswagen Polo was found burned out on Baljaffray Road in Bearsden and this is believed to be the same vehicle used in this incident.
Detective Inspector Ogilvie Ross, Clydebank CID, said: “Violence and fire-raising are both extremely dangerous and we are doing everything we can to trace those responsible. This does appear to be a targeted attack.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident, or was in the area on Monday morning who may have information that can help us.
“Our officers are going through CCTV, however we would also ask anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area of Beardmore Street or Baljaffray Road around that time to get in contact as they may hold information that could assist our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 0889 of Monday 17 June 2019. Alternatively you can contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where information can be given in confidence.”
