COVID 19: NICOLA STURGEON SUMS UP LATEST SITUATION

  • Nicola Sturgeon, pictured left, says 806 new positive cases are logged, but that is likely to include some older than in the past 24 hours
  • In the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health area there were 302 cases and the Lothians recorded 180
  • The first minister says that while the vast majority of new cases are among the under 40s, a third are in the over 40 age bracket
  • There are currently 123 people in hospital with the virus and 14 of those are in ICU, which is two fewer than yesterday
  • The number of people referred to see a cancer specialist dropped by a fifth during the first three months of lockdown
  • Police broke up “at least” 300 house parties across Scotland over the weekend
