A popular Loch Lomond wedding venue has told couples who wish to avail of their wedding reception services that it has been forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Boturich Castle venue in Balloch shared the news on social media and became the second premier Bonnie Banks venue to scrap its wedding reception service.
The hugely popular Duck Bay Marina at Arden has made it public that it too will not be taking any more bookings due to Covid 19.
The Boturich owners said: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closure of Boturich Castle Venue.
“It has been a devastating year for us due to Covid and with the uncertainty of what is in the future we have made the very difficult decision to shut our business.
“All current bookings with us have been informed and payments will be reimbursed. We’d like to thank everyone who has entrusted us with hosting their special day over the last 10 years.
“It has been an honour to work with you all.”
The venue was flooded with messages and condolences on Facebook.
Bride-to-be Michelle Norman wrote: “So sad we wont be having our special day here next year and so sorry for you having to make this difficult decision.”

Duck Bay Marina and Hotel at Arden on Loch Lomondside has also been forced by the pandemic to close its facility for wedding receptions.
“Boturich is such a beautiful venue with the loveliest of owners, we’re sorry that we won’t get to marry at your beautiful venue and home.”
“All the best for the future, i know for certain that the hospitality industry will be much worse off without you so I hope this is not goodbye but see you later.
The sad announcement is the latest Bonnie Banks casualty for the wedding industry. Nearby, The Duck Bay Marina and Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond also announced it was cancelling all wedding bookings as a result of the pandemic.
