- The weekly report from National Records of Scotland says that between 2 November and 8 November 206 death certificates mentioned Covid-19
- It also says that 103 fatalities were of men and 103 of women. Most deaths (143) occurred in hospital; 53 were in care homes and nine were in a home setting
- In the past 24 hours a further 64 people who had tested positive for the virus have died
- The latest positive cases stands at 1,261 – 488 in Greater Glasgow and Clyde; 272 in Lanarkshire and 145 in Lothian
- There are currently 1,235 people in hospital (down four) and 93 are in intensive care (down nine)
- The plan for getting university students back home for Christmas is set to be announced in parliament later
- It is understood they will be tested for coronavirus – and those who have negative results will then be able to go home
