The weekly report from National Records of Scotland says that between 2 November and 8 November 206 death certificates mentioned Covid-19
It also says that 103 fatalities were of men and 103 of women. Most deaths (143) occurred in hospital; 53 were in care homes and nine were in a home setting
In the past 24 hours a further 64 people who had tested positive for the virus have died
The latest positive cases stands at 1,261 – 488 in Greater Glasgow and Clyde; 272 in Lanarkshire and 145 in Lothian
There are currently 1,235 people in hospital (down four) and 93 are in intensive care (down nine)
The plan for getting university students back home for Christmas is set to be announced in parliament later
It is understood they will be tested for coronavirus – and those who have negative results will then be able to go home
