REMEMBRANCE DAY: NAVAL BASE PAUSES TO REMEMBER THE FALLEN

MILITARY and civilian personnel at HM Naval Base Clyde paused to remember the fallen on Wednesday, November 11, during the site’s annual Remembrance Service.  The socially-distant Service was held within the Church of St John the Evangelist and was led by the base’s Chaplaincy team.  As well as the traditional moment of silence, senior Royal Navy personnel also laid wreaths to commemorate the sacrifice of those who gave their lives. The pictures above show some of the wreaths laid at the Service by  Naval Base Commander Clyde, Commodore Donald Doull; Head of the Submarine Service, Commodore Jim Perks,  and Deputy Flag Officer Scotland and Northern Ireland (DFOSNI) Commodore Bob Anstey.
