LET US ENTERTAIN YOU: DUMBARTON PEOPLE’S THEATRE CAST FROM CHRISTMAS 1984

Image may contain: 31 people, including Pauline McLean, people standing and wedding

Something to make you smile this cold December morning. This was the cast of Dumbarton People’s Theatre’s Christmas pantomime in 1984. Picture courtesy Pauline McLean, Arts correspondent of BBC Scotland, who took part in the show at the Denny Civic Theatre and who is seated in the front row, extreme left. Lots of familiar faces jump out. I can see Ronnie and Tilly Jeffrey, olf Reporter and Helensburgh Advertiser fame, Gerry Mulvenna and Cameron Dallas and Janette Barnes, third from the right in the back row. Perhaps Janette or someone equally familiar with the local theatre scene as it then was could help The Democrat to name the rest of the colourful cast. The top picture is of two stars of the Glasgow pantomime scene, Jack Milroy and Mary Lee. Remember them? You can e mail us at heaneymedia@btinternet.com
