POLICE LAUNCH MAJOR INVESTIGATION AFTER DEATH OF MAN. AGED 25

Detectives are appealing for information after a 25-year-old man died and a 34-year-old man was seriously injured in Clydebank on Monday, 21 December, 2020. 

Around 12.05am on Monday, 21 December, 2020, officers were called to a report of two men seriously injured within a house in Perth Crescent, Clydebank.  Emergency services attended and both men were taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital IN gLASGOW.

The 25-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later.  Hospital staff describe the condition of the 34-year-old man as critical. 

A post mortem examination is due to take place to establish the exact cause of death. However, at this time, the death is being treated as suspicious. 

Detective Chief Inspector Alan McAlpine, of the Police Scotland Major Investigation Teams, said:  “Officers are in the area speaking to neighbours and checking CCTV to try and establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and who was involved. 

“Our inquiries are at a very early stage and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed an incident take place, or anyone with information to come forward to officers as soon as possible.”
