MARIE CURIE NURSES: The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the distressing impact dying, death

Please email your Scottish Election candidates about care for dying people

By 2040, up to 10,000 more people could be dying with palliative care needs in Scotland every year. By then, many more people are expected to die in the community rather than hospital, and must be able to access the support they need.

The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the distressing impact dying, death and bereavement can have on anyone at any time. Failing to provide the right care and support can be devastating for both the person who dies and their loved ones.

In the upcoming Scottish Parliament elections, we’re asking all candidates to pledge to make sure all dying people can get the care and support they need.

Please help by emailing your local candidates using our simple online form and template email. You can read the message on the next page before you send it.
