Welcome to Lomond Parish Church, the Church of Scotland on the southern shores of Loch Lomond at the gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
We are a friendly, outgoing Church of Scotland congregation. Lomond Parish Church is a merger of 2 different congregations (Alexandria and Jamestown) in the north of the Vale of Leven in September 2019. We have a rich heritage and we cherish that. We are grateful for the family of faith from which we have emerged over the years and are deeply aware of our responsibility to continue the work begun and nurtured by our forebears in the faith and to grow in the digital world to engage with a wider Congregation.
Outreach in the community is provided by Chaplaincy support to Care Homes; Sheltered Housing and Supported Living Accommodation in Alexandria, Balloch and Jamestown, as well as local schools and nurseries. At this time of shutdown all buildings are closed but we continue to provide a time for Reflection every Sunday on our Facebook site (Lomond Parish Church)or YouTube. To contact us complete the contact form or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our aim is for this website to be useful to both visitors and members. We know that people have used the site to find out about what is happening, to search out some of our historical links to former Vale of Leven churches, to contact us to arrange weddings, use our hall accommodation and our grounds.
We have many keen photographers in the congregation and we have used their pictures to show the many talents that are used to demonstrate our witness to our Lord’s work in this beautiful area of Scotland. As a Gold Award ‘Eco-Congregation’ we are committed to good stewardship of God’s creation.
