A police helicopter, patrol cars and vans and uniformed officers took part in a dramatic chase around Dumbarton town centre and the Barloan area on Saturday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: “On Saturday, 3 April, 2021, five males, aged 24, 19, 17, 17 and 16, were arrested following a pursuit on the A82 between Alexandria and Dumbarton.
“They were charged with a number of offences, including possession of drugs and bladed weapons.
“The 24-year-old, who was the driver of the car, was also charged with serious road traffic offences.
“All five males appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 6 April). A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
