POLICE: Appeal following wilful fire raising, Dalmuir area of Clydebank

Police officers are appealing for information after a fire was reported in a rubbish chute at a block of flats in the Dalmuir area of Clydebank.

The incident happened around 6.30pm on Friday, 30 April, 2021, at Park Court, Littleholm Place.

Detective Constable Iain Allison, of Clydebank CID, said: “No one was injured but this fire could have had horrific consequences in such a high storey block. Fortunately the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished it quickly.

“The fire is being treated as wilful and we are carrying out a joint investigation with the SFRS. Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to get in touch.
