SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON A82 BETWEEN ERSKINE AND DUNGLASS ROUNDABOUT COMMENCE SATURDAY 15TH MAY
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking road safety improvements on the A82 between the A898 Erskine and Dunglass Roundabout from Saturday 15th May until Sunday 6th June 2021.
Installation of traffic signage and new chevron type road markings will be provided to assist in managing the travelling gap between vehicles and discourage close following. Work will take place between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.
The work will be carried out using dual carriageway lane closures. A convoy will be operational between the hours of 10pm and 6am with a reduced speed limit through the extent of the works to protect our workforce. We thank road users for their patience while these essential improvements are underway.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
