NEIL FINDLAY: Public Affairs in the Public Interest

Having spent 18 years as an elected councillor and MSP, I saw first-hand how big, powerful, well-funded interests use their position and connections to influence public policy and drive political change.

I witnessed how they use their resources, spending power and connections to benefit their sector or business. The playing field is not level – community groups, the voluntary sector, charities and trade unions are all too often ignored, paid lip service or treated as an afterthought by decision-makers. They simply don’t have the personnel and resources to ensure that their voice is heard in the same way as these powerful elites. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Together we can ensure the voice of people and communities is heard just as loud as any other. Unity Consulting Scotland is a newly established social enterprise that has been set up to help amplify the voice of different communities of interest. We want to work with the voluntary and charitable sector, trade unions, community groups and others to help deliver real and lasting progressive change.

We have a very experienced team who can help your organisation with campaigns planning and delivery, media and communications, policy development, research & report writing, parliamentary services, strategy, training, social media, membership recruitment and more.

We look forward to building relationships with organisations across the country. If you think we can help your organisation don’t hesitate to get in touch.
