Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021
As part of West Dunbartonshire Council’s new duties relating to the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021 it is important that we ask local people, regardless of their age, sex or gender, their views on making period products available free of charge in communities, a council spokesperson said.
She added: “We are particularly required to make sure that period products are obtainable reasonably easily, and in a way that respects the dignity of persons obtaining them. There must also be a reasonable choice of different types of period products available.
“By taking part in this consultation you can enter into a free prize draw and win a pack of Period Products including reusable products like pants and the menstrual cup (closing date 31st October 2021). This link takes you to the survey. It only takes two minutes.”

Whooper oh whooper, regardless of age, sex or gender, your view on period products is essential. Not quite sure what a menstruating man, or a menstruating man self declaring as a woman, or a binary, or Q++ will have to say about this. Or maybe post menstrual women if they’ve not self ID’d as a man.

Great to realize that precious council resources are being deployed on such important surveys, they’re bang on the money of important issues – and I await the survey outcome.
