Sport: Active Schools launch a new app for activity bookings

West Dunbartonshire Leisure’s Active Schools team has launched a new sports app to help families quickly and easily book extra curricular activities in schools and sessions at local sports clubs.

The WD Sports Hub App can be downloaded from the Google Play or App Store. It is cleverly designed to bring together school and community sport opportunities, enabling parents to sign their kids up to clubs with a few simple clicks of their phone or tablet. They can also favourite their local school(s) and sports clubs to receive information, news and push notifications via the app.

Not only can families make bookings for activities, but they can also manage their account with ease and keep up to date with all the Council’s latest leisure news including school health weeks and sports days.

West Dunbartonshire Council Provost and Chair of the West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust, William Hendrie, said: “We are delighted to launch this new app which will help parents and carers book and be informed of the full leisure programme within their children’s school.  It will also keep parents informed of additional activities in the area and give speedy results of Active School competitions.”
