PRIME MINISTER: Boris Johnson’s visit to Scotland on Monday

By Lucy Ashton

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s reported visit to Scotland on Monday, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said:  “The Prime Minister should be making the shorter trip to the Palace to offer the Queen his resignation. The failure of Scottish Conservative MPs to hand in letters to the 1922 Committee shows contempt for their constituents.

“Every minute Boris Johnson remains Prime Minister is an insult to all those who lost a loved one, adhered to the rules, educated their children at home, went to work in care homes or applauded from the doorstep.”

  1. Last time this clown came to Scotland on a day trip it was at the height of lockdown in January 2021 when only essential work was permitted,

Supported by an entourage of public relations advisers, close protection police, and local police our man and his save the union campaign team then proceeded to visit a private laboratory near the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a photo shoot before traversing over to a certain Tory supporting lemonade manufacturer in Cumbernauld for another press shoot,

And, despite many many complaints did Police Scotland do anything about this flagrant breach of Covid regulations. Of course not. Instead they focussed on stopping vehicles and issuing penalties to ordinary people for traveling into the next council area without lawful excuse or raiding homes where there were reports of their being people from more than three households.

Well done Boris, and well done Police Scotland.
