  1. There is a huge pump storage scheme expansion currently being tendered in the Great Glen near Inverness. This expansion will double pump storage in the UK.

    Save for a bit of North wales substantially all pump storage capacity is in Scotland. Expanding at Cruachan will expand storage again.

    Scotland, the land that just keeps giving. Sadly with all this renewable energy not to the people in their energy poor houses to afford the swingeing gas and electricity prices.

    Poverty in the land of plenty – and its not just electricity but gas and oil too.
