We are delighted to let you know we are now feeding 2,279,941 children every school day!
This is only possible because of the generosity and kindness we have received from supporters like you throughout 2021, which has allowed us to reach more children in countries like Haiti, Madagascar and Yemen. Thank you.
Despite this joyous news, we are expecting a difficult year ahead – with terrible conflict affecting the world including countries where we work, such as Ethiopia, Yemen and South Sudan, and the cost-of-living crisis hitting families here in the UK and overseas.
We also expect food prices to rise in many countries where we serve our nutritious meals – making it more expensive to feed hungry children.
Our executive director, Daniel Adams, says: “It is easy to feel hopeless when faced with so many challenges. But every single thing that people like you do for our mission makes an enormous difference to the children who eat Mary’s Meals – and these little acts of love are needed now more than ever before.”
We remain determined to keep our promise to the 2,279,941 children who rely on Mary’s Meals – putting our hope in the continued kindness of all those who believe, like we do, in the importance of attracting children to school through the certainty of a daily meal.
